48 Hours Summit 2018

MOVEMENTS: TRANSCENDING AND TRAVERSING

When lies are taken as truth, when apathy is too great, when we are left vulnerable, we have no choice but to Move!

What is a movement? What does movement mean in the context of  political standoff? How does the voluntary and involuntary movement of individuals and groups change the geographic and cultural landscapes of our communities? How do we move beyond- the antiquated, the polarizing, the siloed, the inequitable?

In a time of rapid movement and constant change, how do we stay rooted in our histories, traditions, and our ideals while continuing to progress forward to more positive and equitable futures?

48 Hours of Socially Engaged Art & Conversation Summit is a two day summit and exhibition that engages cultural organizations, non-profits, artists, and individuals to share their expertise on cultural responsiveness, social responsibility, and collective leadership. Inspired by Denver’s Imagine 2020 Cultural Plan, 48 Hours aims to promote positive social change through creativity and innovation.
