Submit an Exhibition Proposal at RedLine

While RedLine exhibitions are typically selected by a staff-led, community-based committee, proposals for exhibitions from the public are always welcome.

RedLine has two main exhibition spaces: the Exhibition Hall (approximately 6,000 sq. ft.) and the Project Space (approximately 1,500 sq. ft.)

Proposals are judged based on the following criteria:

  • Artistic Excellence

  • Relationship and/or engagement with the annual theme

  • Community Involvement/Collaboration/Engagement

  • Alignment with RedLine's mission

We accept proposals on a rolling basis and those that engage with RedLine’s annual theme will have priority over those that do not. Please include all the following information and images in one pdf document, and send as an attachment to lkargol[@]redlineart.org

Please provide the following information for each proposal:

  • Curatorial Statement

  • Participating Artist List

  • Exhibition History

  • Current resume or CV

  • Budget Draft

  • 10-15 (no max) of images from participating artists work

Proposals are reviewed from January-August of each year. If a proposal is accepted you will be contacted for a follow up meeting in September of each year (if not sooner).  RedLine typically books exhibitions one year in advance but that timeline is subject to change based on theme (up to three year window).

Due to the volume of proposals, RedLine is not able to send declination messages.

If you would like feedback on a proposal that was not accepted, please email lkargol[@]redlineart.org with the subject line "Exhibition Proposal Feedback."
