F.E. TOAN

F.E. Toan holds a BFA in Craft and Material Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University, with a minor in Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies.  Having first started college at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, F.E. sought out the mentorship of Susie Ganch, leading them to VCU.  They learned from and worked for Ganch for four years, while completing a BFA and subsequently co-founding the Mule Barn Craft Studio, a collaborative craft space in Richmond, VA.  Since graduation, Toan has participated in many collaborations and group exhibitions mainly up and down the east coast.  Recently Toan has completed a yearlong residency at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, TN.  Currently F.E. has moved to Denver, CO and is an artist in residence at RedLine.
