WHAT

Join us at RedLine for an artist and curator talk and exhibition tour. Featuring the curators of the two exhibitions currently on display: Floyd D. Tunson’s Ascent and the Black Power Tarot.

Collaborative curators Wylene Carol, Daisy McGowan, and Collin Parson will lead a tour and discuss 10 major series of artworks by Floyd D. Tunson in his survey exhibition Ascent at RedLine Contemporary Art Center.

This will be followed by a talk with Black Power Tarot curator Daisy McGowan and civil rights legend John B. Smith, whose work with the Invaders Black Power group in Memphis, Tennessee, inspired the exhibition concept. Black Power Tarot artist Arish Ahmad Khan, known by his stage name of "King Khan," will also be Zooming in to chat during the event.

Ascent is on display at RedLine Contemporary Art Center through July 31st, and at The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities through August 28th.
