Exhibition

Exhibition

This exhibition creates an emergency placeholder for a lost past and an unknown future. It forges a path through closures and cancellations, delays and uncertainties, that left many ideas without a place to land. The participating artists have explored, in a word, the half-life that we are all living. We join them in their processing of the pandemic. Learn more about this exhibition, view images, or download the gallery guide.

Partners

Partners

By matching ideas with resources, people with partners, performance with platforms, CHECKING IN seeks to demystify opportunities with institutions for artists during a time of social isolation and partial shut downs. Consisting of over 35 partner locations, programs and exhibitions will be added within the three to five month timeframe. View partner list and map.

Call for Action and Art

Call for Action and Art

CHECKING IN began with the question “what do you need” to artist communities and then responded with a matching / mutual aid platform depending on how the artist(s) responded. Predominantly, CHECKING IN has become a platform to present the work and ideas of artists communities that have been created during these challenging times of economic collapse, social injustice, health crises, and global uncertainties. View the call and participate.

Programs

Programs

CHECKING IN will follow the form of a progressive dinner where partners, programs and exhibitions will be added within the three to five month timeframe. The first exhibitions and programs will open during Denver Arts Week(end) in November of 2020 and will extend through May of 2021. Peruse events, exhibitions, and special programs that are part of CHECKING IN.
