Contract Opportunity: REACH Program Resource Navigator

Status: Contract (Part-Time, 5 hours/week)**
Compensation: $500 a month, 6-month contract

About RedLine and the REACH Program
RedLine Contemporary Art Center fosters education and engagement between artists and communities to create positive social change.
The REACH Program provides studio access, mentorship, and professional development for artists experiencing barriers such as housing instability, unemployment, or limited access to creative opportunities. REACH is grounded in the belief that artmaking can be a pathway to healing, belonging, and stability.
The Resource Navigator supports this mission by helping individuals connect to essential services—housing, food, healthcare, creative opportunities, and community resources—while sustaining an affirming and inclusive studio culture.
Position Summary
The Resource Navigator (Contractor) plays a vital role in the success and wellbeing of REACH artists by providing one-on-one and group support to connect participants with resources that meet their basic needs and long-term goals.
This role blends case navigation, advocacy, and community-building within a creative environment.
Working closely with RedLine’s Education & Community team and external partners, the Resource Navigator helps participants identify barriers, access wraparound services, and maintain consistent participation in their artistic practice and exhibitions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Participant Support & Navigation
Provide weekly office hours to address needs related to housing, food, transportation, healthcare, and employment.
Connect participants with local and regional service providers, including shelters, recovery programs, food pantries, and workforce initiatives.
Share up-to-date knowledge of community resources, and help individuals navigate application processes for assistance programs through sign up.
Provide warm hand-offs and follow-up to ensure participants receive support with dignity and continuity.
Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries in accordance with trauma-informed care standards.
Program & Studio Collaboration
Work closely with REACH Facilitators to identify participants needing additional support or resources.
Attend weekly open studio sessions to build rapport, observe engagement, and strengthen relationships with participants.
Collaborate with the Education & Community team to integrate wellness, creative agency, and life-skills components into programming.
Participate in staff check-ins, retreats, and professional development opportunities related to social equity, mental wellness, and IDEA principles.
Documentation & Reporting
Track participant engagement and resource referrals using RedLine’s reporting systems.
Submit monthly summaries of outreach efforts, barriers identified, and impact stories to the Director of Education & Community.
Support grant reporting by sharing anonymized success stories and data as requested.
Complete all invoicing, W9s, and vendor forms in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Experience
Required Qualifications
2+ years’ experience in social services, case management, community outreach, or related work.
Strong understanding of trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches.
Ability to communicate compassionately and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences.
Organizational skills to manage multiple participants and community resource connections.
Demonstrated commitment to inclusivity, diversity, equity, and access (IDEA).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working within arts, creative, or community-based organizations.
Familiarity with Denver-area housing, food security, and behavioral health resources.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in social work, psychology, human services, art therapy, or related field.
Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/ASL) strongly preferred.
Lived experience of overcoming barriers similar to those faced by participants is valued.
*Contract Details
Approximately 5 hours per week, with flexibility for check-ins, community meetings, and occasional evening/weekend events.
Contractor must provide their own transportation; travel between RedLine’s main site and partner locations (e.g., Nest56, St. John’s, Stout Street Recuperative Care) may be required.
Renewable based on performance and funding availability.
