About The Weight of Tomorrow

Featuring new work by RedLine’s 2026 artists-in-residence, The Weight of Tomorrow contends with pressing questions around our collective past, present, and future.

This exhibition proposes that every individual holds a responsibility toward the next generation of artists, leaders, and culture bearers to uphold the most abundant, sustainable futures.

About the Curator

Kimi Kitada is a curator and educator based in Kansas City. Currently, she is the Gallery and Programs Manager for Charlotte Street Foundation.

Previously, she was a Curatorial Assistant at The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles from 2019-2020. From 2014 to 2018, she served as Public Programs & Research Coordinator at ICI in New York.

Her recent exhibitions include: A Scattering of Jades at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art, St. Joseph, MO (2026); The River Remembers at Charlotte Street (2025); Ways of Listening at Charlotte Street (2024); Potential Futures: Prototypes at Charlotte Street (2023); and where we came from & where we are going at Transformer, Washington DC (2019); among other exhibitions. Kitada received a BA in Art History and Classics from Bucknell University and an MA in Museum Studies from NYU.
