Making Our Mark: An Exploration of Vandal Futurism

On display September 23-November 3, 2023. Curated by Anthony García Sr.

Part of our RedLine at 15 exhibition program.

This exhibition features local, national, and international artists who are leading contributors to the Post-Vandalism and Graffiti-Futurism street art and mural movements. Curated by Anthony Garcia Sr., RedLine Resident Artist Alumni and Founder/Director of Alto Gallery and Birdseed Collective.

Making Our Mark honors and acknowledges that for many artists, street art, murals, and graffiti art functions as their first exposure to the fine arts. Though the genre emerged and is experienced beyond the confines of museums, institutions and galleries, street art continues to claim a space that is accessible and inspiring to all.

As a contributor to the genre, Garcia Sr. is surveying artists and styles that inspired him to become an artist.

Making Our Mark seeks to highlight artists of the ever-evolving street, mural, and graffiti art communities that interact, challenge, and redefine the boundaries that exist between interior/exterior, inside/outside, and permission/prohibition—in both public and private spaces.
