Meet Jane Burke, RedLine’s Chief Curator & Art Director

We are so excited to introduce our new Chief Curator & Art Director, Jane Burke!

Jane Burke

Burke boasts over two decades of experience in non-profit arts administration, gained from positions held in encyclopedic and contemporary art museums, as well as alternative art organizations.

She has worked as an independent curator, juror, and advisor for galleries, universities, and government agencies, while pursuing her ongoing research interests in the cross-cultural construction of identity and intersectional social change through the lens of visual and material culture.

Burke’s leadership and influence have recently drawn national attention—she’s been recognized by ArtDesk as one of their “Movers & Shakers,” which honors twenty industry professionals making their mark across the cultural sector!

In the feature, Burke shared her hope that her new role at RedLine will help “expand and elevate our impact through experimentation, innovation, and collaboration.”

Before joining RedLine, Burke most recently served as Executive Director of Union Hall. She was the curator at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art from 2022–2024, and the curatorial fellow for the Textile Art & Fashion department at the Denver Art Museum for nearly eight years prior.

Before relocating back to Colorado, Burke held curatorial and collections positions at the Honolulu Museum of Art, The Contemporary Museum, and The East West Center Gallery in Honolulu, Hawai’i.

As RedLine’s Chief Curator and Art Director, Burke will play a central role in shaping exhibitions, our artist-in-residency program, and curatorial strategy.

Her depth of experience, collaborative approach, and commitment to experimentation position RedLine for an exciting new chapter.

Help us welcome Jane to the RedLine community by joining us at our next exhibition opening on Friday, March 13, 6-8pm. More details coming soon!
