Desi Brown

Desi Brown is currently a Limited Term Lecturer at Metropolitan State University (MSU) Denver, Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design (RMCAD) and Purdue University. Her classes focus on ceramics and on various foundational studio art classes.

Her artwork uses ceramics, found materials and photography to document her wearable sculptural work. Desi’s artwork focuses on the interior lives and resilience of Black women who, like herself, are navigating single parenthood and social classism, and rejoicing the triumphs of these women.
